Aimless 03:32
I don't know where I'm going Not quite sure where I've been Following a dirty narrow road Scattered detours with quick ends. I've got no map, no directions given Too few people by my side No clear vision of what's coming But so far enjoyed the ride. No peace and quiet my way But it's sure as hell my way Would you like to come along? There's no security here No plan for life around here Just this music and a song.

Your kids are fucking in a high school bathroom Cruisin' town smoking weed. My favorite part about daddy's angel She takes it off with her teeth. Cheerleaders, trophy girls They dance, they flirt, they tease. I don't wanna girl to take home to mom I wanna bad bitch on her knees. Yeah! I don't care if your daddy's little girl. Girl I swear by the stars above. I won't stop till you can't walk. I won't stop, I won't stop. College girls got me in a frenzy The best has yet to come. The girl on her knees says her name is Lindsey Her friend wants in the fun.

Drug deal in the middle of the day Baptist church in the back alley Payin' double, double for a dime Keep your hookup on the line. Bang bang in the middle of the street Where the crooks cross paths with the beat Got caught up way too young With you older brother's gun. Hey girl standing out in the rain The needle's tear keeps you numb from the pain You were stole when you were young Now your sold for others' fun.

First Kiss 04:25
Do you remember our first kiss like I do? We were wading in the water by the pool The days were getting hotter next to you We were two kids out of high school. All I wanna do is take you for a walk And we can watch the sunset as we talk and talk and talk All I wanna do is take your hand in mine And we can watch the sunrise as we laugh away the night. All I wanna do is find the strength to say Baby that I love you and I want this every day All I want is you and I hope you want me to Cause nobody understands me quite the way you do.

My hands are open wide but my heart is closed I'm ashamed of this life and everybody knows I've got no place to go I've got no place to be I've got no chains that hold but I am far from free All I really want is a bite to eat/ a safe place to go and get some sleep But to you I'm just another bum on the street Like how can I get a job if I can't get clean? The blood of a scoundrel runs through my veins I lie and I cheat and I steal my way Forgot how to love or feel true pain Sold my soul to another tainted saint. My hands are deep inside whatever pockets full And I won't change the price for my political pull Put your faith in me I'm proven at the polls Freedom isn't free it's time to pay the toll Then I turn around and tell you to behave Tell you how to live, tell you to be slaves Then I stand up above all of the sheep Let them pull the strings to keep you asleep. My hands are stained with blood the screams haunt my soul There's no room for love in a world this cold I'm a trigger-happy fool don't stand in my way When I shoot you, dead you'll stay The blood runs down the wall And the cliques dead in the hall The meter-maid is quickly slain From crucifix hill we fall. My hands are awfully sleight And they want what is yours Under cover of the night I take my biggest score And I'll take this world from men Who stole it from the poor Then we'll start again My United States of War.

We come here to contemplate The things we do the things we say Our past mistakes. Reminisce the battle scars Try to re-align our stars We just can't reach. Take all our regrets and broken dreams out to the trash Cause the cities are all burning and the people turn to ash The monsters like to come out in the night and the sun is setting fast. The sun is setting fast A distant laugh We just can't reach. (The end is near.) (The end has come.) Focus on our will to fight In the darkest part of the darkest night No one expects the light. Alongside brothers in arms Ignoring sounding alarms We have no fear. Human kind is on the brink You can't trust the ones you meet The end is near.

Been a long ride but not long enough We've had great times and some were pretty tough Memories were made and bonds put to the test Not quite done yet but here is to the rest. Our achievements aren't small So let's commemorate then all. Never really thought we'd end up here Dressed for a funeral Thought it'd always be the same way as last year Never forget the times we had Dressed for a funeral Never forget the blood, the sweat, and tears. We've played back rooms, we've played theaters No names in lights, to most we've been unheard Long trips in vans, long trips in separate cars But we won't quit, not when we've come this far. Might never tour the globe But this small town band is all I know.

Lost Cause 03:59
So good at being bad that being goods too hard Too late to turn back now cause you've gone so far Down this road you know every twist and turn This way of life expect every cut and burn Love the pain and showcase all your scars Your ambitions have slowed on life's tar Happiness a joke loves the punch line Hurt someone else don't you dare whine. No place for you in the general public Know your much different so you'd might as well love it Get to the bottom of every bottle You start to falter as you start to stumble Catch yourself on something unheard of Who knew a lost cause could even pronounce love. She's a wrecking ball through your wall of hate Don't believe in too little too late Not a project to her your a gift Her smiling face is enough to lift The world off your shoulders Past of your back there's nothing wrong With having a heart She's the solution To your equation She's the best reason To put down that gun.

Meter-Maid 04:01
Everybody's getting locked up for buying ganjaNow I'm sitting in a cell singing "walla walla" Never thought that a plant would be how I got here Seems that paranoia shouldn't have been my worst fear Sorry momma but let's try to be honest You had high hopes and nobody here wanted This to be the first thing that I did with my life Work just really made me feel the need to get high. One, two, one two three four! I just don't get it Everybody does it I just don't get it I just want to fit in. I get fucked up all the time Just drinking with my friends And waiting for the end So we can sing a song And you can sing along We'll sing about the past And all the times we had What time that we were high And took a country ride Don't matter where it ends Just cruisin with some friends And if we go to jail Then Kaen will post our bail And Devon'll stab a cop And I'll roll one more up And Mark'll steal the car. I'm out six months early for good behavior Thought I was joking bout see you later But I have no home, job, or any money When I try to get one the looks are funny Now I'm back in jail with a longer sentence I was never very good with independence I thought I could just take whatever pleased me Not money out of the register apparently. I'm out again and I'm glad you were in no hurry Stuck in a cell I built up a lot of fury I guess prison makes really twisted minds Cause stabbed a meter-maid eighteen times.

I have found my voice now If I could find my words. They say that it's God's choice son But that shit's just absurd. I know it's not my place and I don't have the right. My father said now dear boy You've got to choose your fights. Dear Alex, how can you keep playing the fool Dear Alex, do you really think that you're cool? Are you not capable of original thought? You always try to be something that your not. I think you suck Fuck you, you suck Dick rag, you suck Be yourself you fuck You'll never be me. Your just another forgetful face Always try to be the first one in space It's already all been done They've all come and they've all gone.

I know I'll never sail the open seas No loot, pegs, or metal hooks for me And I know I'll never have to walk the plank So just enjoy this tale and have a drink. Ya know it's always gonna be the pirates life for me Me and all my mateys we got nothin' else to be. We're buccaneers, we're privateers, we're pirates of the corn We like to hold up liquor stores and take booty galore To a life of filth and grime, led by the knife we're sworn So drink some booze and say fuck you, we're pirates of the corn. I don't wanna load a cannonball But me and my mateys will never fall I don't wanna climb a crows news nest But I'll put your drinking to the test. For me to settle down, well boy, that'll be the day So raise your glasses in the air and let me hear you say.

about

Graphic Violence's sophomore album expands on the premises of their earlier works with the addition of guitarist Mark King; enabling advances in writing and structure, all while keeping the raw edge and unique taste of Devon Vestal's vocals and blues-driven solos. The rhythm sections is rounded out by brothers Keason and Kaen Henry on bass and drums respectively, giving the band a punk and alternative foundation.

The content "VII" touches on ideas of camaraderie, love, hate, sex, drugs, war, and even a little piracy- inspired by the classic struggle of coming into adulthood that the members are each dealing with.

After 8 years, countless hours, and thousands spent- we hope you give "VII" a chance, take a minute to tell us what you think, and if you like it share with your friends.
